Oslo: Cloud Fountain.

Yeah the title is a bit lame.

I'm rushing this post while I'm at a cafe with my daughter. She had her last art class today and I took her out for a treat. She wanted to see how I post to a website.

This sketch took a good long while to get done.
I have many excuses, but you shouldn't really care about any of them. :)

Enjoy!

My amazing wife was out with the kids for most of the afternoon so I had a great opportunity to finish up the colouring on this one. Virtually walking around the building had some pretty interesting views but I liked the mural on the end of this particular spoke in this one.

Christiania

Ok.. So, for all two of you reading this, I know it's been a while.

I got myself setup with an OS X server over the holidays and have been going nuts on that thing for that past few weeks. My history of home server have been a mix of Linux and Windows servers running in our basement. You know, for when they break and I need to learn how to fix them. So far, OS X server is a pleasant mix of both. While it's ease of use is a far cry from a standard OS X desktop install, some of the more finicky server setup options are deceptively simple. On top of all that, it's got Linux under the hood and everything that implies. I'll update as I get some of the niftier aspects of it setup and how they fit into our house.

For todays post, we have another sketch from Freetown Christiania, Denmark. The more I read about this place, the more I want to visit it. There certainly has been some turmoil throughout the history of the area, but the community seemed to always come together during difficult times. They stood in support of a dream for a better place and kept it the way they want it. It's rare that such a success is heard of these days.
